- ➤ Lorain County officials and Second Harvest Food Bank will host a drive-thru mobile pantry at the Lorain County Collection Center in Elyria on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 2-4 p.m. to offer food to families affected by recent severe winter weather and extended school closures. News 5 Cleveland

- ➤ The City of Elyria is inviting applications for a Human Resources Specialist who will manage workers' compensation and FMLA cases, with the position reporting to the HR Director; applicants must apply by Thursday, Feb. 12 at Court Street, Elyria City Hall. City of Elyria
- ➤ Elyria Municipal Court is accepting applications for a part time court security officer/bailiff paying $26.61 per hour. Applicants with a high school diploma or GED and required certifications must apply by Thursday, Feb. 12 at 4:00 p.m. via the city website. City of Elyria

- ➤ Lorain County’s Suicide Prevention Coalition hosted a community forum this week to share awareness and support after early data showed a 10% rise in suicide deaths, and the event drew strong community participation and attention from local mental health officials. News 5 Cleveland
