- ➤ A bright fireball lit the skies Tuesday morning over the Lake Erie area near Lorain, drawing meteorite hunters from outside state lines to search for fragments from a seven-ton asteroid. Hunters Dietrich (found over 20 grams) and Vargas (collected 12.2 grams) met lab verification requirements for a true meteorite specimen. Cleveland 19 News

- ➤ The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services now allows SNAP recipients to apply for reimbursement for food lost during power outages lasting at least four hours after last week’s storms. Affected residents can submit their claims today. Cleveland 19 News
