- ➤ Today, the Lorain County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to shelter in place as deputies search for 37-year-old James Douglas Meadows, who allegedly assaulted two Sheffield Village officers while fleeing a warrant service by ramming cruisers and crashing his car near Russia Road between State Route 58 & Pyle South Amherst Road; he was last seen wearing a tan or brown shirt and a grey beanie hat.
