- ➤ The Avon community held a candlelight vigil at Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet Stadium on Wednesday to honor 18-year-old Jeremiah Kelly, a star football player who died unexpectedly at his home last Tuesday. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Elyria received a $19,400 grant from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost through the 'Shine a Light on Dumpers' initiative to clean up illegal dumping and add tools like cameras and signage—city officials will spend the funds in 12 months and report progress. Residents are encouraged to report illegal dumping to help protect neighborhood safety. City of Elyria
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center has expanded its care by launching an advanced heart program & adding the da Vinci Xi surgical robot to offer minimally invasive treatments for conditions like atrial fibrillation and aortic stenosis. The new services, which include TAVR and LAAO procedures as well as interventions on the mitral and tricuspid valves, provide patients with improved recovery options. City of Elyria
