- ➤ The Lorain County Dog Kennel in Elyria is at maximum capacity and needs adoptions to prevent worsening overcrowding — Dog Warden Andy Laubenthal said a $106 adoption fee provides a license, collar, leash, and necessary care while stressing the shelter is under pressure this summer. - ➤ Nippon Steel finalized its deal to buy U.S. Steel on Wednesday—despite past concerns over outright purchases—and set conditions that let the president veto moves to idle plants or cut staffing. - ➤ Several Ohio sports team leaders have sent a letter to Gov.
