➤ Nippon Steel finalized its deal to buy U.S. Steel on Wednesday—despite past concerns over outright purchases—and set conditions that let the president veto moves to idle plants or cut staffing. SPORTS NEWS

➤ Several Ohio sports team leaders have sent a letter to Gov. Mike DeWine and legislative leaders in support of a plan to use $1.7 billion in unclaimed funds for stadium projects—$600 million of which will fund the Browns Brook Park project and be repaid with future tax revenues over 16 years.
