- ➤ After a year-long pilot, the Lorain County Board of Commissioners extended the successful Via LC rideshare service through July 2026 using funds from grants, the transportation budget, and contributions from Elyria and Lorain. The service now offers on-demand rides on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at bus fare cost (with discounts for seniors, students, and people with disabilities) while having completed over 76,000 rides.
