- ➤ Girls flag football was officially sanctioned by the Ohio High School Athletic Association yesterday—making Ohio the 17th state to add the sport—and the move comes after five years of work by the Cleveland Browns in supporting a girls high school flag football league. This decision will let more high school girls compete as the sport continues to gain interest ahead of its inclusion in the 2028 Olympics. Cleveland 19 News
