Good morning, Elyria.

Between the Bun in North Ridgeville held a Dine to Donate fundraiser on Thursday—raising funds for families of Lorain police after a July 23 ambush killed officer Phillip Wagner and injured two others.

Local residents and police departments supported the event and expressed interest in future benefits.

Elyria Police, Fire departments and the Water Rescue Team are searching the Black River for a missing man since 8 a.m., and local agencies are working together to gather more information.

The autopsy report for Michael Parker showed he had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, evidence of a traumatic brain injury from 12 years ago, and no signs of drugs—investigators are still trying to determine his motive after he ambushed Lorain police officers.
