ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A house on the 400 block of Marseilles Ave was flattened by a suspected explosion on Wednesday night, with a neighboring home and a car damaged while residents escaped unharmed and fire crews responded at 7 p.m.—the Elyria Fire Department is investigating the cause. Cleveland 19 News
- ➤ A large fire struck two homes in Elyria on Wednesday night—damaging both houses, a car, and an unattached garage—with no injuries reported, as Elyria Fire Chief Joseph Pronesti said the incident is under investigation. News 5 Cleveland
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State Representative Joseph Miller introduced a bill to rename a section of State Route 6 as 'Officer Phillip Wagner Memorial Highway' to honor the fallen officer from Lorain. The renaming will begin at the Lorain Police Department and end where SR 6 meets SR 58—community members support the change as they await the bill's formal introduction in the coming days.
