GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Elyria has opened a job for a Police dispatcher who will receive calls + dispatch emergency units for public safety. The role offers a salary up to $57,491.20 and requires strong typing, computer, and communication skills along with knowledge of emergency systems. City of Elyria
- ➤ The United States Coast Guard said it will soon send Aqua Alerts to phones to warn local mariners about search and rescue cases on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. The alert system is modeled after Amber Alerts and is currently shown as a demonstration. Cleveland 19 News
- ➤ Today, Governor Mike DeWine and the Department of Children and Youth launched the Child Care Cred program to help working families pay for child care. The program covers 40% by the family + 40% by employers + 20% by the state for those earning between 200% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level and is funded through June 2026. Cleveland 19 News
