GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ West Ridge Road at the Turnpike bridge has been closed for several months and will reopen Tuesday, October 7—weather permitting. Local officials say the reopening is expected to ease traffic delays in the Elyria area. City of Elyria
- ➤ Crews are working to remove lead on 2nd Street between West Avenue and West River from Monday to Friday at 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.—drivers may see small delays until the work ends by October 31. City of Elyria
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Guardians fans filled Progressive Field on Thursday but left disappointed after the Detroit Tigers defeated the team 6—3 in the Wild Card Series, ending their playoff run. The Guardians showed their famed late comebacks during a season mixed with highs and lows. Cleveland 19 News
