100 Women Who Care donated over $7,000 to All Call Charities, a non-profit aiding families affected by fires in Lorain—this boost will help them expand their services into Elyria in 2026.
The contribution supports their work to provide essential resources before, during, and after fire incidents.
On Thursday afternoon, volunteers from Second Harvest distributed fresh produce and 900 shelf-stable food boxes to about 400 families at Lake Erie Crushers Stadium amid SNAP benefit concerns—raising worries about food supply if benefits are reduced.
A second food distribution will be held on November 4 at the old Ford plant to reach more residents.
