- ➤ Lorain Police Department has partnered with Bowling Green State University to give criminal justice students hands-on training—students take part in building clearing, crash reconstruction, and see SWAT and K9 demonstrations. - ➤ Elyria police are enforcing new traffic laws near Ely Elementary School after they found serious traffic problems on Gulf Road at arrival and dismissal times—these rules ban stopping, left turns into or out of the school parking lot from Ohio Street, and blocking the driveway to keep students and staff safe.
